O m\u00eas de <strong>julho<\/strong> trouxe consigo o auge dessa sequ\u00eancia gelada, que j\u00e1 vinha sendo desenhada desde <strong>maio<\/strong>, quando <strong>anomalias negativas de temperatura<\/strong> come\u00e7aram a surgir em vastas regi\u00f5es oce\u00e2nicas do hemisf\u00e9rio. <strong>Brasil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguai e Paraguai<\/strong> foram diretamente impactados por esse fen\u00f4meno atmosf\u00e9rico que remonta aos mecanismos clim\u00e1ticos da <strong>Ant\u00e1rtica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Os primeiros sinais vieram em <strong>maio<\/strong>, quando dados de sat\u00e9lite revelaram <strong>temperaturas abaixo da m\u00e9dia hist\u00f3rica (1991-2020)<\/strong> em \u00e1reas que v\u00e3o do <strong>sudeste do \u00cdndico<\/strong>, passando pela costa sul da <strong>Austr\u00e1lia<\/strong>, cruzando o <strong>Pac\u00edfico<\/strong> e chegando ao <strong>Atl\u00e2ntico Sul<\/strong>, at\u00e9 as bordas da <strong>Ant\u00e1rtica<\/strong>. O corredor do <strong>mar de Weddell<\/strong>, por onde ocorre a troca t\u00e9rmica entre o polo e as latitudes m\u00e9dias, foi o principal canal de escoamento do frio.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Em <strong>junho<\/strong>, a situa\u00e7\u00e3o se agravou com <strong>massas de ar polar<\/strong> se espalhando por todo o <strong>cone sul-americano<\/strong>, especialmente sobre a <strong>Pen\u00ednsula Ant\u00e1rtica<\/strong> e a jun\u00e7\u00e3o entre os oceanos <strong>Atl\u00e2ntico e \u00cdndico<\/strong>. A chegada do <strong>solst\u00edcio de inverno<\/strong>, em <strong>20 de junho<\/strong>, apenas confirmou a rota dos <strong>anticiclones polares m\u00f3veis (APM)<\/strong>, formados no <strong>mar de Ross<\/strong> e no <strong>setor de Weddell<\/strong>, que avan\u00e7aram com for\u00e7a sobre o <strong>Chile<\/strong>, <strong>Argentina<\/strong> e os <strong>estados do Sul e Sudeste do Brasil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Essas <strong>massas frias<\/strong>, ao se deslocarem, carregam as caracter\u00edsticas do ambiente onde se originam: <strong>temperaturas extremamente baixas<\/strong>, <strong>umidade reduzida<\/strong>, <strong>alta estabilidade atmosf\u00e9rica<\/strong> e, muitas vezes, um poder de transforma\u00e7\u00e3o profunda nos <strong>quadros meteorol\u00f3gicos<\/strong> dos lugares por onde passam. <strong>Quando o continente ant\u00e1rtico atinge m\u00ednimas hist\u00f3ricas<\/strong>, como neste ano, a severidade dessas massas se amplia e alcan\u00e7a at\u00e9 mesmo regi\u00f5es tropicais, como o <strong>sul do Amazonas<\/strong> e do <strong>Acre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Neste <strong>julho<\/strong>, <strong>duas massas de ar polar consecutivas<\/strong> cruzaram o continente, vindas tanto do <strong>Pac\u00edfico<\/strong> quanto do <strong>Atl\u00e2ntico<\/strong>, refor\u00e7ando a hip\u00f3tese de uma <strong>Ant\u00e1rtica ainda mais fria<\/strong> que o habitual, pelo menos at\u00e9 <strong>setembro<\/strong>. Com isso, os efeitos locais se intensificaram, especialmente em \u00e1reas de <strong>maior altitude<\/strong>, como as <strong>Serras Ga\u00fachas<\/strong>, o <strong>Planalto Catarinense<\/strong> e regi\u00f5es serranas do <strong>Paran\u00e1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Essas \u00e1reas, por estarem situadas em regi\u00f5es elevadas e mais ao sul, sofrem com <strong>baix\u00edssimas temperaturas<\/strong>, favorecendo n\u00e3o apenas a ocorr\u00eancia de <strong>geadas<\/strong>, mas tamb\u00e9m a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de <strong>neve<\/strong> em situa\u00e7\u00f5es espec\u00edficas de <strong>umidade e frio intenso<\/strong>. O recente evento de <strong>neve registrado no in\u00edcio de julho<\/strong> \u00e9 consequ\u00eancia direta do encontro entre o <strong>escoamento \u00famido da Amaz\u00f4nia<\/strong>, que desce pelo corredor <strong>noroeste-sudeste<\/strong>, e o <strong>ar extremamente frio vindo da Ant\u00e1rtica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A imagem de sat\u00e9lite de <strong>1\u00ba de julho, \u00e0s 6h10 (hor\u00e1rio de Bras\u00edlia)<\/strong>, mostra claramente essa intera\u00e7\u00e3o: uma faixa azulada de <strong>umidade em baixos n\u00edveis<\/strong> corta o Sul, enquanto setas indicam o ar polar descendo sobre o continente. Isso criou as condi\u00e7\u00f5es perfeitas para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de <strong>neve<\/strong>, <strong>\u00e1gua-neve<\/strong> e at\u00e9 <strong>chuva congelada<\/strong>, dependendo da altitude e do momento em que ocorre a condensa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>O destaque tamb\u00e9m vai para o <strong>sincelo<\/strong>, fen\u00f4meno raro e visualmente impressionante, onde got\u00edculas de nevoeiro congelam ao tocar superf\u00edcies geladas, formando cristais que se fixam em <strong>\u00e1rvores<\/strong>, <strong>fios el\u00e9tricos<\/strong>, <strong>telhados<\/strong> e at\u00e9 nas <strong>folhas das plantas<\/strong>. No Sul do Brasil, este espet\u00e1culo natural foi observado gra\u00e7as \u00e0 combina\u00e7\u00e3o entre <strong>neblina \u00famida<\/strong>, <strong>temperatura entre \u20132,0 e \u20138,0\u00b0C<\/strong> e <strong>vento suave<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Outro dado que chamou a aten\u00e7\u00e3o foi a <strong>sensa\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica de \u201329,0\u00b0C<\/strong> relatada em algumas \u00e1reas. Esse n\u00famero, no entanto, n\u00e3o \u00e9 a temperatura real do ar, mas sim um <strong>\u00edndice de perda de calor corporal<\/strong>, que leva em conta o <strong>vento<\/strong>, a <strong>temperatura<\/strong> e, em vers\u00f5es mais avan\u00e7adas, tamb\u00e9m a <strong>umidade<\/strong> e a <strong>radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar<\/strong>. Em noites com <strong>c\u00e9u limpo<\/strong> e <strong>vento constante<\/strong>, a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de frio extremo \u00e9 ainda mais acentuada.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Para os <strong>pr\u00f3ximos meses<\/strong>, a expectativa \u00e9 de <strong>redu\u00e7\u00e3o na umidade<\/strong> em grande parte do territ\u00f3rio nacional, especialmente devido ao <strong>afastamento da Zona de Converg\u00eancia Intertropical<\/strong> para o hemisf\u00e9rio Norte, o que fortalece a <strong>temporada de ciclones tropicais no Atl\u00e2ntico<\/strong> e enfraquece a entrada de umidade pela Amaz\u00f4nia. Com isso, o cen\u00e1rio passa a ser mais prop\u00edcio \u00e0 ocorr\u00eancia de <strong>geadas<\/strong>, em vez de <strong>precipita\u00e7\u00e3o invernal<\/strong>, como a <strong>neve<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A configura\u00e7\u00e3o atual, com <strong>massa polar intensa<\/strong> e <strong>baixo teor de umidade<\/strong>, \u00e9 t\u00edpica de um inverno rigoroso, mas seco.
