Nesta sexta-feira, 13 de junho de 2025<\/strong>, a cidade de S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> deve registrar a temperatura mais baixa do ano<\/strong>, com os term\u00f4metros podendo marcar at\u00e9 7\u00b0C<\/strong>, segundo o Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (Inmet)<\/strong>. A chegada de uma frente fria intensa<\/strong> refor\u00e7a o ar gelado, principalmente nos bairros perif\u00e9ricos<\/strong> e mais afastados do centro da capital.<\/p>\n

A previs\u00e3o, no entanto, n\u00e3o indica neve<\/strong>, apesar da simula\u00e7\u00e3o viral nas redes sociais<\/strong> criada por Douglas Ignacio<\/strong>, especialista em conte\u00fado com intelig\u00eancia artificial<\/strong>, que mostrou locais emblem\u00e1ticos da capital cobertos por neve<\/strong>, como a Avenida Paulista<\/strong> e o Parque Ibirapuera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A geada hist\u00f3rica de 1918 e a lenda da neve na Avenida Paulista<\/strong><\/h3>\n

O imagin\u00e1rio popular sobre neve em S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> tem origem em um epis\u00f3dio marcante do passado. Em 25 de junho de 1918<\/strong>, uma forte geada<\/strong> tomou conta da cidade. Relatos daquela \u00e9poca, inclusive uma anota\u00e7\u00e3o do meteorologista Jos\u00e9 Nunes Belford Mattos<\/strong>, sugerem que teria nevado na Avenida Paulista<\/strong>. Contudo, especialistas apontam que o que ocorreu foi uma sublima\u00e7\u00e3o de nevoeiro<\/strong>, associada \u00e0 geada<\/strong>, e n\u00e3o neve de fato.<\/p>\n

Conforme an\u00e1lises do Instituto de Astronomia, Geof\u00edsica e Ci\u00eancias Atmosf\u00e9ricas da USP (IAG-USP)<\/strong> e da Climatempo<\/strong>, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 registro oficial de neve em S\u00e3o Paulo desde o in\u00edcio das medi\u00e7\u00f5es em 1910<\/strong>. A meteorologista Daniela Freitas<\/strong> explicou que naquele dia de junho de 1918 o c\u00e9u estava completamente limpo<\/strong>, o que impossibilita a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de neve<\/strong>, que requer presen\u00e7a de nuvens e umidade elevada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Segundo o professor Carlos Augusto Morales Rodriguez<\/strong>, do IAG-USP<\/strong>, a cidade nunca registrou simultaneamente temperaturas negativas e precipita\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>, uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o fundamental para a ocorr\u00eancia de neve<\/strong>. Devido \u00e0 posi\u00e7\u00e3o geogr\u00e1fica tropical<\/strong> e \u00e0 influ\u00eancia do Oceano Atl\u00e2ntico<\/strong>, as massas de ar frio perdem for\u00e7a<\/strong> antes de causar esse fen\u00f4meno.<\/p>\n

Para haver neve, seriam necess\u00e1rios dois fatores simult\u00e2neos<\/strong>: temperatura abaixo de 0\u00b0C<\/strong> e presen\u00e7a de nuvens de chuva estratiformes<\/strong>, t\u00edpicas de frentes frias<\/strong> bem desenvolvidas. Isso jamais foi observado<\/strong> na cidade de S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Campos do Jord\u00e3o e Cunha: exce\u00e7\u00f5es no Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Embora a neve nunca tenha sido registrada oficialmente na capital, ela j\u00e1 apareceu em outras partes do estado<\/strong>. Campos do Jord\u00e3o<\/strong> viu neve na d\u00e9cada de 1920<\/strong>, com registros fotogr\u00e1ficos<\/strong> desse evento. Tamb\u00e9m h\u00e1 relatos de neve em Cunha em 1946<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mesmo durante epis\u00f3dios de frio extremo<\/strong>, como em 1988<\/strong>, Campos do Jord\u00e3o<\/strong> n\u00e3o teve neve, devido \u00e0 aus\u00eancia de umidade suficiente<\/strong> para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o do fen\u00f4meno, segundo a meteorologista Daniela Freitas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A temperatura mais baixa j\u00e1 registrada oficialmente em S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> foi de -2,1\u00b0C em 2 de agosto de 1955<\/strong>, no Mirante de Santana<\/strong>. Outros epis\u00f3dios not\u00e1veis incluem 0,8\u00b0C em 1948 e 1994<\/strong>, e 1,2\u00b0C em 1979 e 1994<\/strong>. Esses eventos, embora extremamente frios, n\u00e3o foram acompanhados por precipita\u00e7\u00e3o congelada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Prefeitura ativa a Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Baixas Temperaturas<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Com o agravamento do frio, a Prefeitura de S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> iniciou na \u00faltima ter\u00e7a-feira (10)<\/strong> a Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Baixas Temperaturas<\/strong>, com a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de tendas de acolhimento<\/strong> para pessoas em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de vulnerabilidade em v\u00e1rios pontos da cidade.<\/p>\n
