The advisory also cautioned drivers to avoid water-covered roads<\/strong>, stressing that even a shallow flood can prove treacherous.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The looming storms arrive as Toronto<\/strong> grapples with oppressive humidity and record-breaking heat<\/strong>, with the humidex pushing perceived temperatures<\/strong> well beyond 40 \u00b0C (104 \u00b0F)<\/strong> earlier in the day.
