⚠️ Monday evening: Severe thunderstorm risk continues
Western Metro Detroit and surrounding areas are under the threat of strong thunderstorms continuing into late Monday night. Radar monitoring shows scattered cells capable of producing damaging winds up to 60 mph (96 km/h) and hail. While the most intense activity remains localized, these storms may still pose significant hazards, especially west of the city center.
As the night progresses, cloudy skies dominate, but will clear gradually overnight, with temperatures dropping to around 53°F (12°C).
🌤 Tuesday: Partly cloudy, mild temperatures
By Tuesday, Metro Detroit will enjoy partly cloudy skies, with highs climbing to around 74°F (23°C). The air will feel fresher, following the storm activity of the previous night.
Nighttime conditions remain clear and calm, with lows dipping to about 56°F (13°C) — ideal for a cooler, more comfortable overnight period.
🌞 Wednesday: Warmer trend resumes
Wednesday brings a noticeable warm-up, with temperatures surging to 85°F (29°C) under intermittent cloud cover. This marks a temporary return to more summery conditions across southeast Michigan, particularly through the Detroit metro corridor.
⛈ Thursday: Next storm threat returns
Storm chances return Thursday afternoon and evening, as a new disturbance pushes into the region. Highs will stay in the lower 80s (27–28°C), but expect showers and thunderstorms to redevelop, primarily after lunchtime and into the evening.
🌧 Friday and weekend outlook: Lingering rain, gradual clearing
Rain showers remain possible Friday, especially in the morning hours, before drier air gradually moves in.
By Saturday, the weather stabilizes, with clouds still present, but temperatures reaching the upper 70s (25–26°C) by the afternoon. The weekend will likely end on a drier note, particularly on Sunday, although mostly cloudy skies will persist.
