Cooler air arrives in Northeast Ohio
CLEVELAND (WJW) – A cold front has finally moved south of Northeast Ohio, bringing a noticeable shift in both temperature and humidity. Any lingering rain has already cleared out, leaving calmer and drier conditions tonight.
Overnight temperatures will dip into the low to mid 60s Fahrenheit (17–19 °C), making it one of the more comfortable nights we’ve had recently. Humidity levels will be significantly lower, thanks to drier air filtering in behind the front.
Tuesday is shaping up to be the best day of the workweek across Cuyahoga County and surrounding areas. Expect clear skies, mild temperatures, and zero rain chances. Highs will stay pleasantly seasonal, without the heavy, sticky heat that’s been common in past weeks. It’s a true midsummer refresh.
However, the same frontal boundary that brought this improvement will drift back north by midweek. Starting Wednesday, expect rising humidity and scattered rain chances to return, sticking around through Friday.
Looking ahead to the weekend, another cold front is expected to push through, possibly triggering showers and thunderstorms. At the moment, the most likely window for rain appears to be late Saturday into Sunday.
