Today, Wednesday, June 18, much of southern Lower Michigan, particularly from Southwest Michigan to the Saginaw Valley, will experience intense heat, with temperatures peaking around 90°F (32°C) during the afternoon. The heat is expected to be localized, forming a narrow corridor of elevated temperatures across this region.
Thunderstorm activity will be very limited today, mostly restricted to the far northern Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula. These storms are not expected to be severe, and coverage will be scattered at best.
