Monday, June 23, 2025 — The weather across Arkansas continues to match the summer calendar perfectly: hot, humid, and largely unchanged from recent days.
Meteorologist Todd Yakoubian reports that we’re sounding like a broken record, with daytime heat, persistent humidity, and only a slight chance for isolated afternoon showers or storms. Highs are reaching around 95°F (35°C), but the heat index is making it feel even hotter.
Heat advisories remain in effect through Friday, impacting much of central and southern Arkansas, including the Little Rock metro area. Conditions are expected to stay largely stable, with only brief, pop-up thunderstorms offering minimal relief from the heat.
Looking ahead to early next week, Yakoubian notes there are subtle signs that temperatures might ease slightly, but don’t expect a major cooldown. Highs may dip just below 90°F (32°C), yet remain well above average for late June.
This current weather pattern, driven by persistent high pressure and weak wind flow, continues to support this ongoing heat wave across the region.
