Through <strong>Tuesday night<\/strong>, <strong>steady rainfall<\/strong> soaked the <strong>I-25 corridor<\/strong>, and <strong>meteorologists expect these showers to gradually ease<\/strong> by <strong>midday Wednesday<\/strong>. Rainfall totals in the <strong>Denver metro<\/strong> are estimated between <strong>0.5 and 1.5 inches<\/strong>, with <strong>diminishing amounts further northeast<\/strong> across the <strong>Colorado Plains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Denver7 Chief Meteorologist <strong>Lisa Hidalgo<\/strong> emphasized that <strong>Tuesday was the coolest and wettest day of the week<\/strong>, with some <strong>slushy precipitation possible on the Palmer Divide<\/strong>.
