According to the <strong>National Weather Service<\/strong>, this week will bring <strong>summer-like heat<\/strong>, strong <strong>gusty winds<\/strong>, and <strong>low humidity<\/strong>, especially in the <strong>valleys, deserts, and mountain foothills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Heat wave timing and temperature outlook<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>High temperatures<\/strong> are set to peak on <strong>Wednesday and Thursday<\/strong>, with inland and valley regions reaching between <strong>95\u00b0F and 103\u00b0F<\/strong> (<strong>35\u00b0C to 39\u00b0C<\/strong>). Beginning at <strong>11 a.m. Tuesday<\/strong>, warnings cover the <strong>Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area<\/strong>, <strong>Calabasas<\/strong>, <strong>Agoura Hills<\/strong>, and the <strong>San Fernando Valley<\/strong>, lasting until <strong>9 p.m. Thursday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A separate advisory will be in place for the <strong>Santa Clarita Valley<\/strong>, <strong>San Gabriel Valley<\/strong>, and <strong>Los Angeles County coastal area<\/strong> from <strong>11 a.m. Wednesday<\/strong> through <strong>9 p.m. Thursday<\/strong>, including <strong>Downtown L.A.<\/strong> All these areas could reach or exceed <strong>100\u00b0F<\/strong> (<strong>38\u00b0C<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Fire weather threats intensify across interior regions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Starting <strong>Sunday and continuing through Thursday<\/strong>, <strong>fire danger<\/strong> remains high, especially in the <strong>Antelope Valley<\/strong>, <strong>lower mountain regions<\/strong>, and <strong>interior valleys<\/strong> of <strong>San Luis Obispo County<\/strong>. Winds are expected to gust between <strong>20 to 40 mph<\/strong>, peaking on <strong>Monday night<\/strong> and again each <strong>afternoon and evening<\/strong> through <strong>Friday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly concerning are the <strong>Southwest Santa Barbara coast<\/strong> and <strong>adjacent foothills<\/strong> from <strong>Gaviota to Mission Canyon<\/strong>, where <strong>humidities will drop to 15-25%<\/strong>, and <strong>gusty sundowner winds<\/strong> may hit <strong>35 to 50 mph<\/strong> during <strong>late afternoons and nights<\/strong>.
