Severe thunderstorms bring gusty winds and hail to northeast Florida<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Saturday afternoon<\/strong>, a line of intense thunderstorms<\/strong> is sweeping across parts of Northeast Florida<\/strong>, specifically Flagler<\/strong> and Putnam counties<\/strong>, prompting multiple weather advisories<\/strong>. The National Weather Service<\/strong> has reported wind gusts reaching up to 50 miles per hour (circa 80 km\/h)<\/strong> and hail the size of peas<\/strong>, spotted via radar over Putnam County<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Active weather warnings and flood advisory<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning<\/strong> is currently active for both Flagler and Putnam counties until 4:30 PM<\/strong>, though meteorologists warn that the atmospheric instability<\/strong> could cause this warning to be extended into the evening<\/strong>, especially as the storm system pushes eastward toward the Atlantic coast and local beaches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Putnam County<\/strong> is under a Flood Advisory through 6:30 PM<\/strong>, as heavy rainfall continues<\/strong> to impact the area. The storm system<\/strong>, producing intense downpours, frequent lightning<\/strong>, and hail<\/strong>, poses a risk for localized flooding<\/strong>, especially in low-lying and poorly drained areas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
