The KSN Storm Track 3 Weather team<\/strong> has collected early data on accumulated rainfall<\/strong>, and the figures reveal just how intense the deluge has been.<\/p>\n Sedgwick County<\/strong> was among the hardest hit, with some areas near Wichita<\/strong> recording nearly 7.3 inches (185 mm)<\/strong> of rainfall over 48 hours. In Butler County<\/strong>, cities like El Dorado<\/strong> and Towanda<\/strong> received between 5.8 and 6.1 inches (147\u2013155 mm)<\/strong>. Harvey<\/strong>, Chautauqua<\/strong>, and Marion Counties<\/strong> were also affected, although totals were slightly lower.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2-day rainfall totals (Monday\u2013Tuesday):<\/strong><\/p>\n In Sedgwick County<\/strong>, 3 NE Valley Center<\/strong> topped the list with 7.29 inches (185.1 mm)<\/strong>. Close behind, 3 NNE East Wichita<\/strong> received 6.92 inches (175.8 mm)<\/strong>, while 3 S Downtown Wichita<\/strong> recorded 5.33 inches (135.4 mm)<\/strong>. Flash flooding<\/strong> became a major concern, and some rural roadways remained impassable into Wednesday morning. Multiple flood warnings<\/strong> were issued, primarily across Sedgwick<\/strong>, Butler<\/strong>, and Lyon Counties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n While the rain has eased for now, soil saturation<\/strong> and river rise<\/strong> remain hazards as water continues to drain from higher ground.
