While most of the region will remain dry during the day, isolated storms<\/strong> are likely to develop after sunset. Temperatures<\/strong> are expected to fall into the mid to upper 60s\u00b0F<\/strong> (18\u201320\u00b0C<\/strong>) overnight, with partly cloudy skies<\/strong> and a light southeast breeze<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \ud83c\udf24\ufe0f Father’s Day starts cloudy, ends sunny and hot<\/strong><\/p>\n Sunday morning<\/strong>, including Father\u2019s Day<\/strong>, will begin with clouds<\/strong> and scattered showers<\/strong> lingering from overnight storms as they drift southward<\/strong>. Conditions will improve through the day, with sunshine returning by the afternoon<\/strong>. Highs will soar into the upper 80s\u00b0F<\/strong> (31\u201332\u00b0C<\/strong>) and may even touch the low 90s\u00b0F<\/strong> (32\u201334\u00b0C<\/strong>) in some parts of eastern and southeastern Kansas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Humidity will noticeably increase<\/strong>, making it feel even warmer by evening.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u2600\ufe0f Next week: A surge of summer-like heat<\/strong><\/p>\n Monday<\/strong> will kick off the workweek with sunny skies<\/strong> and temperatures climbing into the 90s\u00b0F<\/strong> (32\u201335\u00b0C<\/strong>) across most of the region. This summer-like pattern<\/strong> will persist through at least Tuesday<\/strong>. Expect muggy conditions<\/strong> to stick around, with heat indices<\/strong> pushing even higher in the afternoons.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \ud83c\udf27\ufe0f Midweek storms make a return<\/strong><\/p>\n As we move into Tuesday evening<\/strong>, moisture and instability<\/strong> will return, bringing a renewed chance for isolated thunderstorms<\/strong>. Much of northeastern and east-central Kansas<\/strong> could see scattered showers and brief storms<\/strong>, especially overnight into Wednesday<\/strong>.
