The <strong>Storm Prediction Center<\/strong> has issued <strong>severe weather alerts<\/strong> across the region, with the <strong>most intense activity<\/strong> expected <strong>between noon and 1 a.m.<\/strong> Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>frontal boundary<\/strong> pushing into the <strong>Great Lakes region<\/strong> will <strong>stall out over Southeast Michigan<\/strong>, serving as the <strong>trigger<\/strong> for <strong>two rounds of storms<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.<\/strong>, the first wave of <strong>strong storms<\/strong> may produce <strong>winds up to 70 mph<\/strong>, <strong>hail larger than one inch<\/strong>, and <strong>torrential rain<\/strong>. After a brief lull in the early evening, <strong>a second round<\/strong> is forecast to ignite between <strong>7 p.m. and 1 a.m.<\/strong>, continuing the threat of <strong>severe weather<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>enhanced risk zone (level 3 of 5)<\/strong> includes <strong>Livingston<\/strong>, <strong>Washtenaw<\/strong>, <strong>Lenawee<\/strong>, and <strong>Monroe counties<\/strong>. Meanwhile, <strong>Metro Detroit<\/strong> falls under a <strong>slight risk (level 2 of 5)<\/strong>, while <strong>Sanilac<\/strong> and <strong>St. Clair counties<\/strong>, including <strong>Port Huron<\/strong> and <strong>Sandusky<\/strong>, are in a <strong>marginal risk (level 1 of 5)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temperatures Wednesday<\/strong> will climb to around <strong>85\u00b0F (29\u00b0C)<\/strong> with <strong>high humidity<\/strong>, making the environment <strong>ripe for storm development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Quieter Thursday ahead with lower humidity<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Following the departure of the <strong>storm system<\/strong>, <strong>Thursday<\/strong> promises a <strong>drying trend<\/strong> with <strong>sunshine<\/strong>, <strong>fewer clouds<\/strong>, and <strong>lower humidity levels<\/strong>. Highs will reach around <strong>82\u00b0F (28\u00b0C)<\/strong>, a welcome break after an active weather day.
