TUCSON, Arizona<\/strong> \u2013 As of early Tuesday, June 24, 2025<\/strong>, monsoon moisture<\/strong> is making a notable comeback<\/strong> across southeastern Arizona<\/strong>, bringing with it the first thunderstorms<\/strong> of the 2025 monsoon season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The humid air mass<\/strong> is gradually spreading across the region and is expected to trigger isolated thunderstorms<\/strong>, especially to the southeast of Tucson<\/strong>. Although most of the storm activity will remain scattered<\/strong>, there\u2019s a real possibility<\/strong> that a storm or two<\/strong> could drift westward<\/strong> and reach Tucson<\/strong> by Tuesday afternoon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A brief break<\/strong> in the monsoonal pattern is forecasted for Wednesday<\/strong>, when drier air<\/strong> moves into the region. However, by the end of the week<\/strong>, a new surge of <\/strong>moisture<\/strong> is expected to arrive, increasing the potential for additional thunderstorm development<\/strong> into the weekend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Temperatures<\/strong> across Tucson<\/strong> and surrounding areas will continue to climb into the low 100s Fahrenheit (around 38\u201340\u00b0C)<\/strong> through midweek<\/strong>, with slightly hotter conditions<\/strong> expected toward Friday<\/strong> and into Saturday and Sunday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In Cochise County<\/strong>, conditions will follow a similar pattern<\/strong>, with sporadic thunderstorm chances<\/strong> and highs<\/strong> also reaching triple digits<\/strong>.
