But it won&#8217;t <em>just<\/em> feel warm\u2014<strong>oppressive humidity<\/strong> is pushing the <strong>heat index<\/strong> dangerously close to <strong>100\u00b0F (38\u00b0C)<\/strong>, according to <strong>Aaron Updike<\/strong>, meteorologist with the <strong>National Weather Service in Indianapolis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Temperatures are rising rapidly this morning<\/strong> and will <strong>peak between 90\u00b0F and 92\u00b0F (32\u00b0C and 33\u00b0C)<\/strong> this afternoon,\u201d said Updike. &#8220;<strong>Dew points in the low 70s\u00b0F (around 21-22\u00b0C)<\/strong> are adding significant humidity, making it feel <strong>much hotter than the actual air temperature<\/strong>.
