Windy conditions return to western Montana this Friday, June 27<\/strong><\/p>\n The wind is back across western Montana<\/strong>, especially along the Rocky Mountain Front<\/strong> and near the Continental Divide<\/strong>. Gusts today may reach 30 to 40 MPH<\/strong>, bringing noticeably blustery conditions<\/strong> throughout the day. While scattered thunderstorms<\/strong> were active yesterday across the region, today’s storms<\/strong> are expected to be more isolated<\/strong>, with activity shifting mostly south and east of Helena<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Temperatures<\/strong> will remain seasonably warm<\/strong>, reaching the upper 70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit (25\u201330 \u00b0C)<\/strong> in most areas this afternoon. High wind speeds<\/strong>, however, will be the primary weather impact for much of western Montana<\/strong> today.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Moving into Saturday<\/strong>, the pattern remains breezy<\/strong>, but winds will ease slightly compared to today<\/strong>. Expect a dry day for most of the region<\/strong>, though occasional showers<\/strong> and a few storms<\/strong> may linger near the Hi-Line<\/strong>. Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler<\/strong>, ranging from the mid to upper 70s (24\u201326 \u00b0C)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sunday<\/strong> brings a shift toward calmer and sunnier conditions<\/strong>, with lighter winds<\/strong> and temperatures climbing into the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit (28\u201330 \u00b0C)<\/strong>, offering a warm and pleasant close to the weekend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The final days of June<\/strong> and the beginning of July<\/strong> are expected to be hot and dry<\/strong>. Highs may push into the 90s Fahrenheit (32\u201335 \u00b0C)<\/strong> across much of the state. While most of Monday and Tuesday<\/strong> will remain dry<\/strong>, isolated thunderstorms<\/strong> could return Tuesday afternoon<\/strong>, especially across the central and southern portions of the state<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Helena temperature records for June 27<\/strong> show a historic high of 103\u00b0F (39\u00b0C)<\/strong> in 2015<\/strong>, and a record low of 37\u00b0F (3\u00b0C)<\/strong> from 1951<\/strong>. The average high and low sit at 79\/51\u00b0F (26\/10\u00b0C)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In Great Falls<\/strong>, the warmest June 27 on record was in 1936<\/strong> with 101\u00b0F (38\u00b0C)<\/strong>, while the coldest morning reached 37\u00b0F (3\u00b0C)<\/strong> in 1951<\/strong>.
