Chilly start to the week in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area<\/strong><\/p>\n As of Sunday, June 29, 2025<\/strong>, the National Meteorological Service of Argentina<\/strong> (SMN<\/strong>) is reporting a significant drop in temperatures<\/strong> for the \u00c1rea Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (AMBA)<\/strong>, alongside a nationwide alert<\/strong> for extreme cold<\/strong>, currently in effect across thirteen provinces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Today\u2019s early hours began with a minimum of 41\u00b0F (5\u00b0C)<\/strong> and drizzle<\/strong> across the region. Through the afternoon<\/strong>, temperatures are expected to climb to around 48\u00b0F (9\u00b0C)<\/strong>, accompanied by scattered showers<\/strong> and winds between 14 and 19 mph (23\u201331 km\/h)<\/strong>. By nightfall<\/strong>, the temperature will dip again to 41\u00b0F (5\u00b0C)<\/strong> with mostly cloudy skies<\/strong>, although no further rainfall<\/strong> is expected.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Clearer skies but colder air for Monday<\/strong><\/p>\n On Monday morning<\/strong>, skies will begin to gradually clear<\/strong>, bringing a sharp chill<\/strong> with early temperatures of 39\u00b0F (4\u00b0C)<\/strong> at dawn, and just 36\u00b0F (2\u00b0C)<\/strong> in the early morning. In the afternoon<\/strong>, the high is forecast to reach only 48\u00b0F (9\u00b0C)<\/strong>, cooling again to 43\u00b0F (6\u00b0C)<\/strong> overnight under completely clear skies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tuesday: the coldest day of the week<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday<\/strong> is shaping up to be the coldest day<\/strong> of the week. The minimum temperature<\/strong> could drop to 32\u00b0F (0\u00b0C)<\/strong> early in the day, while afternoon highs<\/strong> will hover near 50\u00b0F (10\u00b0C)<\/strong>. Despite the cold, mostly clear to slightly cloudy skies<\/strong> will allow for some sunlight<\/strong> throughout the day.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Weather outlook for the rest of the week in AMBA<\/strong><\/p>\n Wednesday<\/strong> will follow a similar pattern, with clear skies<\/strong> throughout the day. Both morning lows and daytime highs<\/strong> will rise by about 1 degree Fahrenheit<\/strong>, compared to Tuesday. From Thursday to Saturday<\/strong>, the forecast suggests a dry spell<\/strong> will persist, with temperatures ranging between 39\u00b0F and 59\u00b0F (4\u00b0C\u201315\u00b0C)<\/strong>. However, cloud cover<\/strong> will gradually increase, turning from partially cloudy to mostly cloudy<\/strong> toward the weekend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Buenos Aires Province sees snow, rain, and dense fog<\/strong><\/p>\n Elsewhere in the Province of Buenos Aires<\/strong>, SMN<\/strong> reported a high chance of rain and snow<\/strong> this morning across much of the central and southern areas<\/strong>. Meanwhile, skies in the west and northwest<\/strong> remained mostly to partly cloudy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n During the afternoon<\/strong>, localized showers<\/strong> are expected to continue in the previously affected zones. Snowfall warnings<\/strong> are still in place for Coronel Su\u00e1rez<\/strong>, Coronel Pringles<\/strong>, Sierra de la Ventana<\/strong>, and Pig\u00fc\u00e9<\/strong>. As night falls, snow<\/strong> may shift southward, reaching much of the coastline<\/strong>, from San Clemente del Tuy\u00fa<\/strong> to Bah\u00eda Blanca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Monday<\/strong> will start with persistent rainfall and snow<\/strong> along the coastal region<\/strong>, while dense fog<\/strong> is expected to develop throughout the province<\/strong>, potentially reducing visibility<\/strong>. Later in the morning<\/strong>, this humid front<\/strong> will begin to dissipate<\/strong>, although coastal cities<\/strong> such as Mar del Plata<\/strong>, Miramar<\/strong>, Necochea<\/strong>, Monte Hermoso<\/strong>, and Bah\u00eda Blanca<\/strong> will still be affected.<\/p>\n By the afternoon<\/strong>, the western and northwestern areas<\/strong> will experience clear skies<\/strong>, while partly cloudy skies<\/strong> and lingering showers<\/strong> will affect regions from Necochea to San Clemente del Tuy\u00fa<\/strong>. In the evening<\/strong>, the entire province<\/strong> is expected to see clear conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n From Tuesday into Wednesday<\/strong>, low cloud cover<\/strong> will prevail across the Buenos Aires Province<\/strong>, with a few areas reporting slightly cloudy skies<\/strong>.
