While the state will enjoy some breaks of sun, intermittent rain<\/strong>, gusty winds<\/strong>, and brief heavy downpours<\/strong> are on the radar\u2014especially across northern<\/strong> and southern Utah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Throughout Thursday<\/strong>, skies across Utah<\/strong> will remain mostly cloudy<\/strong>, with scattered thunderstorms<\/strong> developing as the day progresses. Some light rain<\/strong> was already recorded during the morning<\/strong> in parts of the state.<\/p>\n By afternoon<\/strong>, southern Utah<\/strong> is likely to experience stronger storm activity<\/strong>, while northern Utah<\/strong> may see isolated thunderstorms<\/strong> in the evening hours<\/strong>. These storms are capable of producing brief heavy rainfall<\/strong>, microburst winds<\/strong>, and gusty conditions<\/strong>. The risk of flash flooding<\/strong> remains possible to likely<\/strong> in flood-prone recreational areas<\/strong> across central<\/strong> and southern Utah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Independence Day<\/strong> will begin with dry conditions<\/strong> across the entire state. However, by the afternoon<\/strong>, a weak atmospheric disturbance<\/strong> sweeping through the northern half of Utah<\/strong> could trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms<\/strong>, especially over the Wasatch Front<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The timing<\/strong> of these storms will be crucial.
