This alert includes a wide portion of New England<\/strong>, spanning Massachusetts<\/strong>, Connecticut<\/strong>, Rhode Island<\/strong>, New York<\/strong>, New Jersey<\/strong>, and Pennsylvania<\/strong>.<\/p>\n According to meteorologists, strong to severe thunderstorms<\/strong> may bring frequent lightning<\/strong>, damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph<\/strong>, and hail up to 2 inches<\/strong> in diameter. The only region in the state not included in the watch<\/strong> is parts of Cape Cod<\/strong>, which are expected to remain outside the storm zone.<\/p>\n The highest risk area<\/strong> is forecast for the interior of New England<\/strong>, with a Level 2 \u201cslight risk\u201d classification<\/strong> issued by the Storm Prediction Center<\/strong>. The airmass arriving late Thursday night<\/strong> will be drier, cooler, and less humid<\/strong>, creating ideal conditions for outdoor festivities<\/strong> on Friday, July 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Temperatures<\/strong> across Massachusetts<\/strong> on Friday and Saturday<\/strong> will be in the low to mid 80s (upper 20s \u00b0C)<\/strong>, under sunny skies<\/strong> and with reduced humidity<\/strong>.
