The <strong>best chance<\/strong> for this activity lies across <strong>Anderson, Linn, Bates, and Henry counties<\/strong>, where there&#8217;s a <strong>30% chance<\/strong> of seeing some <strong>afternoon storms<\/strong>. Areas to the <strong>north<\/strong> should stay mostly <strong>dry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Sunday: hot, humid conditions with rising heat index<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sunday\u2019s weather will feel <strong>oppressive<\/strong>, as <strong>high humidity<\/strong> drives <strong>heat index values<\/strong> into the <strong>lower to mid 90s\u00b0F (32\u00b0C &#8211; 35\u00b0C)<\/strong>. The combination of <strong>hot air<\/strong> and <strong>unstable atmosphere<\/strong> could lead to some <strong>pop-up thunderstorms<\/strong>, though any activity will likely remain <strong>isolated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Next week: persistent humidity and daily storm chances<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Looking ahead, the weather pattern will stay <strong>consistent<\/strong> through the week, with <strong>highs in the mid to upper 80s\u00b0F (30\u00b0C &#8211; 32\u00b0C)<\/strong> and <strong>humid air<\/strong> in place.
