Cities like Reno<\/strong>, Sparks<\/strong>, and Carson City<\/strong> are bracing for another day of intense heat<\/strong>, with temperatures climbing well into the triple digits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Forecasts are calling for highs around 105\u00b0F (40\u00b0C)<\/strong> in Reno<\/strong> and surrounding areas, with spots in Churchill<\/strong>, Pershing<\/strong>, and Lyon counties<\/strong> likely to hit 108\u00b0F (42\u00b0C)<\/strong> before the day is over. These values are far above normal for this time of year, creating heightened risks for heat-related illness<\/strong>, especially for those without access to adequate cooling.<\/p>\n The National Weather Service<\/strong> has extended its excessive heat warning<\/strong> through Friday evening<\/strong>, warning of dangerously hot conditions<\/strong> and warm overnight lows<\/strong> that will offer little overnight relief<\/strong>.
