While no storm has formed yet<\/strong>, the National Hurricane Center (NHC)<\/strong> has warned that the disturbance will move westward<\/strong>, crossing the Florida Peninsula<\/strong> and potentially gaining strength<\/strong> as it enters the warmer waters of the northeastern Gulf of Mexico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Since the early hours of Monday, July 14<\/strong>, a low-pressure system<\/strong> near the eastern coast of Florida<\/strong> has been producing scattered showers and disorganized thunderstorms<\/strong>. According to the latest update from the NHC<\/strong>, this atmospheric disturbance<\/strong> is expected to move west<\/strong>, crossing Florida<\/strong> before reaching the northeastern Gulf of Mexico<\/strong> by Tuesday night<\/strong> or early Wednesday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n If the system organizes, it would be named \u201cDexter\u201d<\/strong>, making it the fourth named storm of the 2025 season<\/strong>\u2014a nearly one-month head start<\/strong> compared to the average schedule<\/strong>, where the fourth storm<\/strong> typically forms around August 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Meteorologist Elizabeth Danco<\/strong> from AccuWeather<\/strong> noted that this system is forming along a stationary front<\/strong>, similar to the one that led to the development of tropical storm Chantal<\/strong> in early July<\/strong>.
