Once storms push through during the evening hours, the risk of rain will begin to ease.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter this rain moves through, our rain chances are going to drop,\u201d<\/strong> said Osterberg<\/strong>. By Friday, storm coverage will decrease to about 30%<\/strong>, making room for increased sunshine<\/strong>\u2014and even higher temperatures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Hot weekend ahead for Tampa Bay<\/strong><\/p>\n Heading into Friday, Saturday, and Sunday<\/strong>, rain chances stay relatively low<\/strong>, hovering around 30%<\/strong>, allowing for more sunshine and rising daytime highs<\/strong>, especially in urban areas like Tampa and St. Petersburg<\/strong>. Afternoon temperatures<\/strong> will likely climb into the mid-90s\u00b0F (35\u00b0C)<\/strong>, and feels-like readings<\/strong> could push closer to 105\u00b0F (40\u00b0C)<\/strong> at times.<\/p>\n While the air may feel slightly drier at times due to less storm activity, the overall weather pattern<\/strong> continues to favor intense afternoon heat<\/strong>, especially in inland zones such as Brandon<\/strong>, Riverview<\/strong>, and Wesley Chapel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Watching the tropics: Invest 93L weakens near Louisiana<\/strong><\/p>\n The system formerly responsible for heavy rainfall earlier this week in Florida’s Gulf Coast<\/strong>, Invest 93L<\/strong>, has shifted west along the Gulf of Mexico<\/strong> and is now bringing torrential rain to Louisiana<\/strong>. The National Hurricane Center<\/strong> has downgraded its development chances to 30%<\/strong>, due to its ongoing interaction with land.<\/p>\n Despite lower chances of tropical development, flash flooding and heavy downpours<\/strong> remain possible across southern Louisiana<\/strong> and portions of Mississippi<\/strong>.
