By <strong>late morning today<\/strong>, <strong>Monday, July 21<\/strong>, showers and isolated storms are expected to sweep into the <strong>Twin Cities<\/strong>, including <strong>Minneapolis<\/strong> and <strong>St. Paul<\/strong>, bringing the first wave of a turbulent weather pattern.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skies across the metro will darken gradually<\/strong>, with clouds thickening through the early hours. The <strong>National Weather Service<\/strong> has flagged a <strong>marginal level 1 risk<\/strong> for <strong>severe storms<\/strong>, especially in and around <strong>Plymouth<\/strong>, <strong>Maple Grove<\/strong>, and <strong>Eden Prairie<\/strong>.
