A weak low-pressure system<\/strong> helped bring in patchy clouds<\/strong>, but not enough to cool things down in a significant way.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As of today, Monday, July 21<\/strong>, weather patterns are shifting<\/strong>, and the upcoming week is shaping up to be hotter and drier<\/strong>, thanks to a building high-pressure system<\/strong> pressing in from the west. Early morning lows will sit between 75 and 78\u00b0F<\/strong> (24\u201326\u00b0C), with afternoon highs expected to land in the upper 90s\u00b0F<\/strong> (37\u00b0C). Some neighborhoods<\/strong>, especially on the south side of San Antonio<\/strong> and in rural areas to the southwest<\/strong>, may see their first triple-digit temperatures<\/strong> since late May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n UV levels<\/strong> will spike as well, reaching extreme values between 11 and 12<\/strong> during early afternoon hours, increasing the risk of skin damage<\/strong> in less than 10 minutes if unprotected.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By Wednesday and Thursday<\/strong>, the weather will follow a similar trend<\/strong>, with intense heat<\/strong> and highs hovering around 97 to 99\u00b0F<\/strong> (36\u201337\u00b0C). The dry spell<\/strong> continues, and skies will stay mostly sunny<\/strong> and clear<\/strong>, driven by the overhead high-pressure system.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But all eyes shift to the Gulf of Mexico<\/strong> by Friday and the weekend<\/strong>. A tropical disturbance<\/strong> could begin to take shape<\/strong>, although models remain uncertain<\/strong> about how organized it might become.
