Western Pennsylvania, including Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Washington counties, is currently experiencing a slow-moving band of showers and storms. As of this morning, rainfall is lifting northward, with arrival expected between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. in the region. Despite the ongoing precipitation, storms will become more isolated as they push further into northern areas.
Friday outlook: From wet start to sunny skies
Today, Friday, is marked as an Impact Day due to morning thunderstorms and showers, especially during the commute hours. Temperatures will climb to 83°F (28°C), with the rain tapering off by midday, allowing for partly sunny conditions in the afternoon. A cold front will move through the region late tonight, bringing a brief return of showers early Saturday morning.

Saturday will start with a leftover early morning shower, but the rest of the day promises partly sunny skies and pleasant highs near 76°F (24°C). By Sunday, conditions will be even drier, with partly cloudy skies and a cooler high near 70°F (21°C).
