Forecast for Thursday in San Antonio, Texas

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 5, San Antonio will experience a mostly cloudy day, according to the latest data from the National Weather Service. Morning temperatures will begin around 74°F (23°C), with light winds from the east-southeast at about 5 mph (8 km/h) becoming calm overnight.

During the daylight hours, the maximum temperature is forecast to rise to around 94°F (34°C). However, heat index values may climb even higher, reaching up to 102°F (39°C), amplifying the sensation of heat and increasing the ultraviolet radiation risk.

Wind conditions will remain relatively light, gradually shifting into a south-southeast breeze by the afternoon, maintaining speeds near 5 mph (8 km/h).

Rain outlook and sky conditions

There is no significant chance of rain forecast for Thursday, though the cloud coverage will remain prominent throughout the day. Expect partially to mostly cloudy skies, which may offer occasional relief from the intense solar exposure but will not significantly lower daytime heat.

Climate context in San Antonio

San Antonio, located in south-central Texas, typically experiences a semi-arid climate, though it borders on humid subtropical due to its geographical position. Summers here are hot and long, and although rainfall is infrequent, it can be intense during short-lived thunderstorms.

This pattern is consistent with the broader climatic diversity found across the United States, where Texas straddles both dry western zones and humid southeastern systems, making San Antonio a city subject to temperature extremes, especially in late spring and early summer.
