Partly cloudy skies and patchy fog overnight
Sunday night in Northeast Ohio closes out Father’s Day with partly to mostly cloudy skies and dry conditions. However, patchy fog is expected to form overnight into early Monday, especially in low-lying areas, and it may become dense in isolated spots, potentially reducing visibility during the morning commute.
Monday: Warm, humid air settles in
Monday morning will begin with mild temperatures and lingering fog, which should gradually clear. Expect a mostly dry day, but the atmosphere will feel sticky and muggy, as dew points climb into the upper 60s °F. High temperatures will range from 77°F to 80°F (25°C to 27°C). A stray shower or brief downpour could pop up in the afternoon or early evening, but most areas will remain dry.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Wetter and stormier weather returns
By Tuesday, a more unsettled pattern takes hold. Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region. The risk of stronger storms and localized downpours will increase into Wednesday, as a cold front pushes through Northeast Ohio.
Wednesday will be humid and warm, with highs approaching 80°F (27°C). The air will feel oppressive, with dew points near 70°F (21°C), making it one of the stickiest days of the week.
Thursday: Showers taper off as cold front exits
Rain and storms will continue into Thursday morning, before gradually tapering off later in the day. Behind the front, slightly cooler and less humid air will begin to filter in, offering a temporary break from the muggy conditions.
Friday and beyond: More comfortable, summerlike conditions
Friday is shaping up to be the best weather day of the week. It will be dry, with seasonable warmth and lower humidity levels. An upper-level ridge will then build in over the weekend, bringing hotter and drier weather typical of early summer across Northeast Ohio.
Stay tuned for real-time updates as this evolving weather pattern brings a rollercoaster of humidity, sunshine, and storms through the mid-June forecast.
