As of this afternoon, Thursday, June 26, 2025, strong thunderstorms continue to affect Southeast Michigan, with active weather alerts still in place for some areas. Severe thunderstorm warnings remain in effect for Monroe and Lenawee Counties until 3:30 p.m. as instability in the atmosphere fuels additional storm development.
Earlier today, multiple warnings were issued across the region. Wayne County saw a severe thunderstorm warning expire at 12:45 p.m., while Lenawee and Monroe Counties had earlier warnings end around 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., respectively. Additional severe weather alerts for Washtenaw and Lenawee Counties also expired around 2:30 p.m.
As of now, there are no active alerts for Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Lapeer, Genesee, St. Clair, or Sanilac Counties.
Radar imagery over Detroit and surrounding areas continues to show active storm cells, particularly in southern Monroe and western Lenawee, with the potential for damaging winds exceeding 60 mph, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning. Temperatures in the region remain in the upper 70s to mid 80s Fahrenheit (around 26–29°C), adding to the unstable conditions.
